I am enthusiastically looking forward to their next update to v1.1, and from there to the 3 mini-expansions they have coming out, starting with Entrenchment. A great leap for the small developer Ironclad Games, indeed. Zoom in to that massive battle going on next to your planet, see those lasers and missiles flying past your screen and the explosions flaring up, and tell me that this game deserves anything less than wholehearted appreciation. Next-Gen graphics scalable for you system, large-scale space battles, real-time strategy, all the ingredients are there and in just the right amounts.
Now, Sins may not be a genre-breaking revelation like Starcraft, but it definitely ranks right next to it. None can measure up to the pure awesomeness of Sins of a Solar Empire, except maybe Starcraft when it first came out. Starcraft, Warhammer 40k, Command & Conquer, Supreme Commander, Universe at War, you name it, I've probably played it at least once.
